two EMT-Basic courses a year. The course is offered through
Lewis & Clark Community College.
The course is offered in the Spring (January - May) and in the
Fall (August - December). The course title and section number
is EMT 120 Sect. 94 The

Course
Description
Studies human skeletal, muscular, nervous, respiratory,circulatory,
digestive, and genitourinary anatomy & physiology; Emergency
treatment and care for cardiac and pulmonary arrest, bleeding
& shock, fractures & soft tissue injuries, poisons and
environmental injuries, bloodborne pathogens, emergency childbirth,
ambulance operations ground and helicopter.
Successful completion
qualifies for the
1. Illinois Dept. of Public Health EMT- Basic examination
2 . National Registry EMT-
Basic examination.
Credit: 5 Semester Hours

2 Lab Hours
